Bright-Breasted Wyverns are a breed of dragon easily recognized by their bright red markings. They are a small breed, only the size of a full-grown man. However, they have developed poisonous barbs on their feet to make up for their size. Their coloration is used to warn off potential predators of the danger, and is also used to attract mates. They are very social, and can often be seen preening in large groups.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Few would look at the unassuming Hobbard and think he regularly visits Papa's Domain, a highly dangerous region that was once belonged to some dragon. It's said that his children were scattered far and wide after his demise, but that's not important since it's been at least a hundred years since anyone made a claim to be his descendant. Now, only the very brave or foolish enter Papa's Domain, seeking treasure. Due to the mana dumps and the lingering effects of "Papa"'s spells, the place is unpredictable and home to organisms twisted by their time there, including elementals and dragons. The Cuworm Guardman and Iron Anomalies are especially feared. Hobbard, small and slight, is able to sneak past nearly anything. He's made many trips into the land and profited from peddling mana, ingredients, and objects. He used to sell potentially deadly artifacts to stupid youth, too, which almost certainly was responsible for their deaths. He's sorry about some of them and not-sorry about others.
