Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Break was born because of some rather questionable events. Her mother had another incident with fire, very nearly dying before being rescued by Ireden. She had Break a few months afterwards, almost too soon to be Ireden's daughter. Yet there is no doubt when you look at Break her father is Ireden.

Break is a rather odd color. Her scales have a red tint to them and when she turns in the light, they glimmer and make her appear red.

She has a similar personality to Ireden, reclusive and self-sufficient. And of course, there's her most predominant trait: Break can see those who have passed on. They don't appear to see her. She can't communicate with them, but like her father before her, she has the gift.

She always knows whenever a dragon dies because of this ability. The others have come to believe she's some sort of witch with influence over life and death, but that's not the case at all. Such claims are ludicrous. If that were true, then she wouldn't have ever let her twin brother die.
