Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
One Step, or Josta as she's more commonly called, was watching paranoidly over her shoulder for any shimmer of her family's brand of cursed magic in her roots. Her mother and grandmother have had terrible luck with theirs, and Josta was terrified something similar might happen to her.
Early in her youth everything seemed to be going swimmingly. Her Dragon Grass didn't die off mysteriously, nor did it try to eat her.
Then the grasses bloomed.
Josta was terrified to find that, the moment they bloomed, her dragon grass's flowers spontaneously combusted. She was forced to flee for her life.
Ever since, every batch has been the same. Blooming is, unfortunately, fairly unpredictable and Josta's terrified one day she'll be asleep when it happens and die from carbon dioxide or worse. She can't just not grow dragon grass; its in her species nature. So she makes yet another unlucky member of the Orchard of Mines family line.
