Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Located high up a remote mountain and guarded by frostbite and ice dragons, the Snowball Assembly is only stumbled across by the desperately lost or the not-yet-desperate-but-soon-to-be-desperately lost. Even if the resident solstice takes pity on a lost traveler, they must still prove their worth to the Counsel of Winter (a group of cold-loving attorneys). Anyone allowed to stay will become an expert in all forms of magic related to cold or winter.

Olmsted is one of the desperately lost, although maybe "lost" isn't the right term any more. He has a cave deep underground, knows everyone in the Counsel well, and serves the many members of the Assembly of Snowballs, but whenever asked, he insists he's in transit and will find his destination soon and that the mountain is only a temporary stay. A few dragons dislike the way he melts the snow wherever he stands, since the water tends to freeze up into icy puddles when he walks away.
