Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. WhittaGold is the Blue Striped daughter of SapphireGoldStream and Whittaric the Striped dragons. As an egg, she was stolen by a treasure thief who thought that she was a rare gem. Her family chased after the unwary robber, who, in the meanwhile, suddenly found himself holding an annoyed dragon hatchling, as the egg managed to hatch en route. WhittaGold's family, lead by her incensed parents, made short work of the thief, while the grizzling baby dragon was taken home. Within a few hours, she had vanished again- but this time, she had simply found a nest for herself- in the water. And that is where the Striped dragon now resides, her deep blue scales blending in with the dark water as she easily swims along, occasionally pausing to snack on a water bug.
