Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

B4D 5471R3, while not especially renowned outside of his clan, is a hero to hatchlings of the Sankari name everywhere. Er, not everywhere. In his clan. He's famous to hatchlings everywhere throughout his clan. This is because B4D 5471R3 was the founder of a team-oriented game known as "B4D's-Awesome-Speedy-Edventure Ball" (B4D was never very good at spelling), or more commonly referred to as "BASE ball". While the game takes a large amount of space to play, it's a great bonding exercise and does a good job of expending hatchlings' seemingly limitless energy. Hatchlings divide into different teams and stand still as claw-sized rocks are hurled at them. The standing hatchling uses fire, agility, or any means possible to avoid being injured by the rock. Bonus points if they can send it back across the playing field!
