Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spontaneorandom has some technical difficulties with using magic, namely that she keeps transforming things in her near vicinity without trying to. This includes (but is not limited to) changing the mana crystals in lighting fixtures, changing coins into the equivalent value in another currency, changing others' minds, undergarments, etc., changing the locks on doors, changing calendars, and changing styles of paintings. She has been banned from many towns because of the shenanigans she causes. It seems that Spontaneorandom is not immune to her own magic, either, as she has been seen turning all manner of garish colours and switching personalities erratically. The only thing that doesn't seem to change is her aura of change, which is unfortunate given its effects.
