Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Another, rather snobbish Goldenskin sibling, though Ultramarine tends to act more aristocratic than the rest of his brood. He enjoys the finer things in life: fine art, poetry, theatrics, delicate trinkets, and lavish parties. He's a very social dragon, often hosting large, outdoor balls in the moonlight. Despite his more pompous attitude, he is genuinely friendly toward his guests and can be a lot of fun to be around. He has a charming charisma to him that draws others in. Of course, this is only if the ones he's speaking to are equally bougie and lavish. Anyone else he either completely ignores or cruelly mocks. He judges others by appearance first and foremost, so if somebody doesn't look right, they will have a hard time winning his favor back. It isn't impossible to change Ultramarine's mind, but it is among the more difficult tasks a dragon can undertake. He is extremely stubborn and close-minded and refuses to listen to anyone not involved in his aristocratic circle.
