Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
An elegant and dainty thing, Moonlight is known for being soft and light like an angel. She drifts about each and every night, taking off into the sky to patrol her home sanctuary. She does this mainly to keep up her strength. Moonlight is a dedicated subscriber to daily- er, nightly rather, exercise. She also just generally likes flying and absorbing moonlight. During overcast nights, she will actually venture high into the air, past the cloud barrier to catch the rays. She's actually known to get pretty reckless for the sake of gaining light. She'll rush out into storms, risk going past dangerous predators, and go way higher than she probably should in the air. Her parents, particularly her father, Bronze, are very worried about this behavior, but Moonlight always seems so apologetic and innocent, it's hard to stay upset at her. It's not like her little moon adventures are all bad. Plenty of sanctuary dragons will peep outside to get a look at Moonlight and her illusory wings.
