Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Oriata Nuria's egg was found by the human Ember Nuria. Ember had been cooking for the annual Christmas feast, and was just about to put some frosted cookies on the table, when she saw something shining like a holiday ribbon. Ember put the cookies on the table and picked up the object, which turned out to be an egg. Ember laughed, and looked around, expecting more eggs to pop up out of nowhere. Finding no more eggs, she put the egg in a basket of holly with the four other eggs she had found in that same hour. When Oriata hatched, the first thing she did was twirl around in a circle, gazing at the ribbon-like stands on her tail. From then on, she loved to dance, and as each new ribbon on her tail grew, she would add another twirl to her dance. When Oriata grew wings, she was overjoyed and began flying everywhere, dancing on the heads of dragons, the tops of trees, and anything else in her path. When the winter season ends, Oriata leaves the tallest mountain of Elgar, dancing all the way.
