Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Oeric Nuria, son of Jin and Oriata, grew up with the feared Jaci, the honored Munir, and the shunned Torio. When his mother laid his egg, she gave it to the human Ember to raise, as she had done with his sister. Oeric was a prideful dragon, much like his father, but he was proud not of his beauty, but of his knowledge. While his mother was beautiful and humble, and his sister was wise and quiet, his father was handsome and prideful, and thus Oeric became wise and haughty. Dragons came to Oeric's sister Carmela for advice, but Oeric did not wait for people to come to him. Oeric was often seen preaching to anyone who would listen, and frequently told Torio what a horrid father he had, or reprimanded Munir for being so "royal", and even scolding Jaci for her roughness (this often ended with Oeric missing some scales and Jaci having a little more blood on her teeth). Despite his arrogance, Oeric still lives with his annoyed sister, proud father and exasperated mother in Elgar.
