Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Hungry Grizzle is Empress Dark Grizzle's only child. Her mother and the strong Magi Dragon worked together to keep her young forever. They did this so that Hungry Grizzle would be safe among the hatchlings, whom everyone works hard to protect. Lately though, Hungry Grizzle has wanted to get to know her mother and been spending more time at the castle where the empress lives. Because Empress Dark Grizzle is not aware of any concrete plans of attack, she has decided to allow Hungry Grizzle to visit like this. As a cover however, Hungry Grizzle must be sure to be seen playing with another hatchling, one who lives at the castle, named Lil Rosebud. In her visits, Hungry Grizzle has realized that her mother is a secretive and greedy dragon, who is constantly scheming. Disappointed with the type of leader her mother is, Hungry Grizzle has become even more restless, and wonders if the curse was really for her own good, or her mother's.
