Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. The wild dragons of the mountains were becoming wary of Dark Grizzle and were hoping to make a pact rather than risk war. Ever dutiful Roger established good terms with the small empire, but instead of returning to his home mountains, decided to stay as a more or less permanent ambassador. His reason was obvious; Firey Claws with her limitless caring and affection drew him in. They became mates, and now Firey Claws is finally a mother to a biological child as well as mother to the nest.
