Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ending Happy--preferring others to call him "Ender"--is a kind, honest and sincere dragon that tries to act much more mature and cool than what he really is. Being the first-born son of the King, Terrible Thyngs, Ender has always felt he has something to prove to every dragon of the Tribe. He struggles accepting himself, but he puts on a brave face in front of the other dragons.

Though Ender acts very different in front of company, his true personality is very endearing. And, on the rare occasion that others are allowed to see this honest side of him, they find they like his normal self much better than his lying one.
