Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

And from the ashes of the Tribe came Terrible Thyngs...

Thyngs came into the Tribe during a moment of panic. They had just gone through the toughest moment of their age--the most bitter, long and harsh winter any of them had ever experienced. Enemy dragons had been attacking, threatening the island. Hatchlings and eggs had been scarce, and many that had been born died off. Fear and confusion had settled in, so fierce not even Flaming Surf had been able to pull them together. That was when Mortuusa had found a small collection of eggs, abandoned and left to die, and Terrible Thyngs had been born.

He is a strong, capable dragon. Though many thought he was young, he proved to be just the kind of leader the Tribe needed. He is fair and wise, strong and just. Though he is now King of the Tribe, his most faithful and trustworthy deputy is Flaming Surf. His mate, Secret Past, was his best friend growing up, and there isn't another dragon he'd rather have by his side.
