Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Pyropelious DarkenWing (after the gemstone: Pyrope Garnet) is the 21st dragon of the clan cave, arriving in the midst of the great Red Migration. The Clan Mother chanced upon his egg among the rubble of a fallen cave at the base of The Grumbling Mountain. Although no external damage was evident, upon hatching, the clan elders knew the tell-tale signs. His leathery scales were brittle and weak, and it took an extraordinarily long while for his wings to develop beyond mere twigs. Opaliestrus worked tirelessly tending to his blemished frame, and all within the clan cave believe that without the glowing embrace of her sheltering wings, Pyropelious would surely have perished. Miraculously, the decay slowly slipped away, although, not without consequence. Pyropelious was forever marked by his beginnings, leaving him with scales of a dull, blackish hue. As a result, he prefers a solitary existence and although he still remains, goes to great lengths to stay removed from the others.
