Water Walkers are small dragons that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails to propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their lives on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

He's a rather calm and serene dragon, preferring solitude to large crowds. He spends most of his time hidden among reeds, tending to watch others from afar where they can't watch him back. He's very quiet and grows awkward in conversation, hence why he so adamantly avoids confrontation. He can get along fairly well with other quiet dragons, though his almost pretentious manner of speech tends to turn them off to him. Oceane fancies himself a poet and artist. He admires the dancing his fellow Water Walker relatives perform but doesn't quite have the skill to match them, so he instead goes to great pains to record them into orature. His family's performances aren't the only things he describes, however, he also enjoys analyzing the natural world, wildlife, magic, and the very nature of dragons as a species. His work is surprisingly detailed and well told, though he admittedly prides himself way too much in this skill, to the point where that aforementioned pretension comes through.
