Water Walkers are small dragons that are frequently found around bogs and ponds. While they are flightless, they retain the flight sacs and hollow bones of their airborne cousins. These traits, coupled with their extraordinarily long, webbed toes, allow them to stand on top of calm waters, using their small sails to propel them wherever they please. They spend the majority of their lives on the water, retreating to the tops of lily pads when the waters become too rough to float atop.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

With a name like Stretch, you just know this guy is something else. Stretch is a proud Waterwalker. Compared to others of his breed, he is pretty attractive and knows it well. Often, Stretch will show off his long legs like he were... well, you get the idea. He definitely has a streak of arrogance and is phenomenally stupid, which makes it all the more surprising why the very intelligent, beautiful Amalthean, Einhorn, married him. Even Stretch himself questions this often, since he's well aware she doesn't solely judge someone by looks or status. Instead, she sees something more in him. She knows Stretch is a good dragon at heart who cares about and will stand up for others when it comes down to it. She knows he doesn't really care about status either and treats others with a sense of comradery no matter who they are. He isn't perfect (far from it), but that alone makes him perfect to her. This is the answer he gets whenever he asks her why, and he's always still confused afterward.
