As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Keiji is an intelligent dragon, like his father, and quite active, like his mother, always wanting to explore everything around him and make the most out of each day. He constantly gets into trouble and has to be scolded, but he learns quickly and is fast enough to run away from bigger dragons when the situation requires it. His favorite activity is spending time with his parents and with 'Uncle Grimmjow', much to the Hellfire's annoyance, since he's the one who gets in the most trouble if something happens to Keiji in his care. However, every time that happened and Grimmjow wanted to scold the young dragon or ignore him, Keiji would put out his best move, the Puppy Eyes of Impeding Doom. Up to this day, none of the dragons Keiji has encountered have been able to resist that.
