Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Malkamalka Nuria, son of Raya Nuria and Chitrang Nuria, was born in a cave encircled by ivy in the tallest mountain of Elgar. His proud parents crowed around him as he pushed his way out of his blue and yellow striped egg. They named him Malkamalka, which means striped. Malkamalka was a bundle of energy, and the other dragons liked to joke that he has his parent's energy put together. Malkamalka loved to wrestle and his main partner was Kent, a hellfire dragon who usually won. When Kent wasn't in a foul mood, they often teamed up to hunt insects and cause mischief. The two like to go down to the lake of Elgar, were a human girl named Flight lives with the dragons she raises. They met Cavyree, a female hellfire that Kent tried to impress, however she soon showed the boys that she did not welcome others, so they left her alone. They met Hytoro, a young black striped dragon who has become a close friend. Malkamalka still lives on the highest mountain of Elgar with his parents and Kent.
