Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Raya Nuria's egg was found by the human girl Ember. She found his green egg, covered in brightly colored markings, in a bed of ivy that had grown around the egg. Ember released the egg, and took it home, naming it Raya, which means stripe.  The moment Raya was able to walk, he was off. Pouncing on insects, rolling in ivy, and wrestling with other hatchlings when he had the chance; this little dragon was a bundle of energy. Ember could see that was lonely at times, since the only other hatchlings around were shy Blaine, almost always absent Kailani, and nocturnal Xing, so she went out searching for an egg. She found one stuck in a blackberry bush, its black exterior nearly invisible midst the ripe berries. It hatched into a beautiful female striped dragon, black as night. She was named Chitrang, meaning striped, and she and Raya loved to play together. They soon grew up, and found they had fallen in love, and the two had many children in their home in the tallest mountain of Elgar.
