Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Spirit has always wished to leave the cave, but she has never actually found a way to approach this topic. With her mother having founded the cave, she knows that most would expect her to stay, but part of her yearns to explore and travel. Her partner, however, is content with life in the clans, and her mother keeps herself in isolation, making it hard for Spirit to approach her. Spirit doesn't feel like she can leave the cave without discussing it with her mother, but on the rare occasions that they do meet, Spirit feels guilty about wanting to leave her, and knows that it would break her partner's heart if she was to leave. Her father as well depends greatly on her, and Spirit knows if she was to tell him of her dream, he would encourage her to go on it, despite how lonely he would become upon her absence. Sometimes Spirit gets the urge to just up and leave, without saying goodbye to anyone, but most days she resigns herself to playing the role of the martyr.
