Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Calm, lovely, and serene, Palegold is the picture of elegance. She has a regal bearing to her that makes her seem like a genuine figure of royalty. Unfortunately, she seems to act on it, too, behaving in a pompous, arrogant manner in front of others. She seems to get a kick out of impressing others, showing off her lovely, polished bronze scales and colorful wings. She loves the attention and adoration. That said, she will not allow a single soul to touch her. She's quick to avoid large crowds and more energetic company, fearing any smudges on her perfectly kept-up coat. Like plenty of her siblings, Palegold is an impressive, aerial acrobat, able to speed through the air and make tight turns to evade danger. Among them, she may not be an allstar, but her skills are enough to drive off most persistent viewers. All of this only takes place during the night, and usually during the waning phases of the moons. During the day, Palegold is completely dormant and hidden away.
