Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

AltShadowWingsish is a more aloof dragon. He is almost exclusively active at night and tends to avoid other dragons, especially the black ones. Since he hatched from his egg, he felt he was different from his parents and, well, most of the other black dragons in the Sanctuary. He also couldn't understand why everyone was so surprised and happy that he had hatched the way he did. As a hatchling, he attached himself under MidnightSoaringsish's wings for he was the only other one who looked like him. Now that AltShadowWingsish's an adult, he is more independent and solitary. He's proven that he's an excellent hunter and he quickly drives any dangerous intruders off. However, his work is pretty much unknown to the dragons of the daytime.
