Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

RyuuKage is secretly obsessed with power. He absolutely hates to lose any fight and the only dragon he even comes close to submitting to is Ishnoirenu, one of the lead black dragons. He can seem arrogant at many times while fighting, already believing himself superior to any fighter he challenges. In the rare times that he does loose, RyuuKage takes to secluding himself somewhere at the edges of the Clans Territory. The white dragons all shake their heads when he returns from these episodes for he often covered in wounds and refuses the whites' assistance in healing. This long pattern of behavior has left his black hide rather rough and scarred but it doesn't seem to bother RyuuKage in the least. When among the other dragons in the Clan, RyuuKage has a more laid back attitude and can seem even a bit pleasant to be around. He also has quite the knack for keeping his sadistic mate, ObsidaWing, from going too far when torturing her prey.
