Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born to one of the most prestigious families in the clans, life seemed to have great potential for Axis. Fast, a skilled hunter, with an inherited resistance to the cold, his potential was astounding, and he was seen as an alpha male, and many females wanted to mate with him because of the influential position they would gain. He preferred to stay single, hanging out with the other single royal blues in his cave, Faraday and Morol. Although the Royale Clan prides itself on treating every dragon equally, Axis upbringing in the Leo Clan has led for him not to care about lineage, but he hates dragons he considers lower class, such as members of the Libra and Capricorn Clan. Axis is ruled by his heart, leading to impulsive statements which have broken his relationship with his mother, who took offense at his comments on his parents relationship, as Axis took his father's side.
