Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The name 'Favian', which means 'Brave', has nothing in common with the dragon's characteristic. Favian is extremely gutless. His clan isn't aware of this because he tends to rush into battles and let luck do the rest for him. Favian knows for sure that he won't be harmed because of an event from his childhood. When he was small, Favian was often bullied by other hatchlings. One day he gathered all his courage and sneaked into a magi's cave. There he stole some rare ingredients to cast a Brave spell on him. It went wrong and turned his beautiful snow-colored skin into dull grayish white. Favian was devastated for several moons until he found out that the spell had also imprinted on him the bless of fate.

Since that time, luck follows Favian closely on his path. An invulnerability globe seems to protect him from all harms. Without much effort, he can find the most delicious food and win battles in the funniest way. That's how Favian can lead an easy life despite of his cowardice.
