Coastal Waverunners spend most of their time skimming the waves along the coast, snatching up their prey from the shallow waters. They have developed markings along the leading edges of their body that help disguise them as breaking waves. When they are not hunting, they enjoy playing among sand-dunes and shallow tide-pools. These dragons live in small but noisy rookeries. Some stories say Waverunners can fly for days on end without landing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In the afternoons, Waveberry Streep can be found at the library, either reading, volunteering, or playing as part of the roleplaying group. In the evenings she performs in plays at the Nworset Theatre. She enjoys playing villains even though she is meek and kind in real life. She tries to get the best out of each day and considers herself very lucky to still be alive.

There was a time where Waveberry started feeling a little off, but she didn't have any symptoms. She didn't go to the doctor because she didn't know what to say. Then she collapsed in the middle of a play. When the audience realised the collapse wasn't part of the script, Healing-D-Vision leaped out fo the front row to investigate. His magic found a problem in Waveberry's heart that required emergency surgery. He removed the parasitic roundworm right on stage, temporarily turning the Nworset theatre into an operating theatre.
