Nobleshield Dragons are aptly named for their self-assumed position as defenders of the innocent. Spurred by their highly protective instincts, these dragons assign themselves to others they perceive as vulnerable to injustice and danger. There is little criteria to be considered for the object of a Nobleshield’s attentions, and it sometimes appears to be a completely random selection. However, most believe themselves lucky to have such a dragon willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure their safety. Whenever the ward of a Nobleshield is threatened, these dragons become frighteningly ruthless—the shields on their tails serve as equally devastating weapons and the plated armor over their more vulnerable body parts is near impenetrable, thus sustaining an impressive endurance through battles. Because of this, these dragons are socially well respected, and only acquiesce authority to dragons proven stronger than themselves.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Sixth was the swiftest hatchling in her cohort and one of the few capable of magic before she hit adolescence. Her casting is still shaky and hasn't produced predictable results after all these years, making her one of the worst practitioners now, and she's a slow learner overall. Unlike everyone else her age, who left to lead lives of independence or something, Sixth remains in her home network, still learning things alongside much younger dragons and helping the instructors and parents do little errands. They all tell her that she's really good at running. The only thing faster than her legs is her tongue, and she can chatter without running out of subjects to talk about. All the adults joke that once she's responsible and can be left without supervision, she will probably be a great protector who defends others by talking their adversaries to death.
