Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nobhead is defined entirely by his mate, as if his life revolves around her. Not much is known about him, but if the guardian that he's pledged his undying love for is involved, then he is involved. Whenever he's in a conversation and the topic moves to him, he changes it so it's about someone else present... or his wife, with whom he should be on equal footing, but he doesn't act like it. If somebody were to write a paragraph description about Nobhead, they would describe him with a few vague, unhelpful adjectives such as "Nobhead is energetic and kind", and then it would move on to several sentences about his relationship and interactions with his seemingly more interesting wife.
