Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s small, but already likes to play-fight.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Vapid Verbal Vomit lives in a big place with many shelves holding written documents. The master of the repository is a big, almost bald human who likes books and (apparently) cute things. The tri-horn resides in a side-room with some other hatchlings whose names he doesn't know. He has nicknames for them based on appearance, like "short-tail" and "spineless", and they in turn call him "Vapid Verbal Vomit" from the way he tries to chatter like his favorite human. Because of his love of roughhousing and jumping on other creatures, he is a decent alarm of sorts. VVV is still too small and soft-skinned to be a threat to armed intruders but effective at deterring most ill-intentioned people from harming the documents or other people at the repository. The deluge of odd noises he makes while sounding the alarm is useful for getting the master and other employees' attention, too.
