Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shot Dreams was once a happy and carefree Daydream, like most others. She grew up in Nimbia, a city inhabited mostly by Daydream Dragons. It appeared to be a peaceful and happy place, until she learned the truth. There were other dragon breeds living there- but they were only tools, laborers so overwhelmed by the aura produced by so many of her own kind that they were completely lost in their own fantasies, paying no mind to the outside world and treated as slaves. Shot Dreams realized what a horrible fate they were doomed to and sought to stop it. She vowed to overthrow the queen in charge and free the poor dragons. She sought to become a fair and beautiful new queen, whose kindness was as vast as the sea. Mynd Control, the current queen, did not like this one bit. She immediately sentenced her into the dungeon for life, leaving only to help the other laborers perform various tasks. Since then Shot Dreams has become depressed and gloomy, unable to do what is right.
