Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Umbras are a solitary and generally unwelcoming subspecies found in the deepest and darkest recesses of the jungle. This highly intelligent and cunning wyrm has little fondness for intruders and those seeking them either for their hoarded wisdom or gleaming, crystalline scales. They are content to leave travelers alone, but are not above bringing a swift and harsh end to those that disturb their peace.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Baseboard lives in Tango Humid Forest, where he keeps a collection of mana and plays with the appearance of the plants above his cave. He was, for a short time, a supervisor in the Forest Magic Society, due to a series of unlikely occurrences that ended with him being considered. He is good at magic, a veteran of three wars, and multilingual (including Tango's arcane language), so he was a passable, if only, contender. Seeing an opportunity for more mana, Baseboard took the job. He learned that being a boss of other dragons means they bother him a lot, which he hates. His underlings didn't acquiesce to his every demand and wouldn't even risk their lives for him. So he fired them. The Chief of the Forest Magic Society and the board of directors immediately got on his back about his decision and ousted him. His stint lasted nine days, seven of which were the compulsory discussion period by the board. He decided from then on he would kill or drive out anyone who tried to give him a job.
