Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Smaug the Wealthy was named after a famous, presumably wealthy dragon. He's dead now, shot with a black arrow of hatred. Something like that. It isn't clear to Smaug if the other guy was ever a real dragon or just myth. He isn't that rich in gold, but greedily watching over every little jewel is too much work for him, so a small mound is good enough for him. He is also more interested in building forts with his treasure pile than sleeping on it and doesn't think much about those two-legged things with sticks and houses, unless they come proclaiming he's a big nasty and needs to die.
