Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Copycatter lives in Gallivant Divergent's shadow, mocking everything the other Golden Wyvern does. They are both the same breed, they are both female, they both have the same structure of lineage, so this dragon uses this as an excuse to do everything the same. Gallivant is not exactly pleased with this, and will do even the most desperate things to get Copycatter off her back. Copycatter almost suffocated due to lack of oxygen on the moon once due to a magic spell Gallivant had cast on her, and would have died if she had not counter-teleported Gallivant there and copied her when she tried to leave. When unable to reach Gallivant and imitate her, she is shown to be a peppy and social dragon, though a bit rude and sassy. However, this rarely happens as Golden Wyverns are incredibly skilled with magic and could easily teleport themselves to one another. To this day, Copycatter proudly continues to drive Gallivant absolutely crazy.
