Lunar Heralds are deeply attuned to the two moons of Valkemare, Aurax and Cirion. Strictly nocturnal, they draw energy from moonlight and will only hunt when the moons have waned. When breeding, the amount of moonlight the parents receive from each moon will determine the color of the egg produced. When a Lunar Herald is struck by direct moonlight, an illusion of multiple wings may appear. Witnessing a Lunar Herald’s illusory wings is commonly believed to be a sign of good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Moongeist is a broad-chinned, dignified lunch lord who serves the diners at the Ford University Canteen of Keenan. He doesn't need to wear a hairnet since he has no hair, but he does anyway because his daydream, bolt, and human colleagues do. In the morning, he begins work in the kitchen and storage room, preparing greens, spices, and dried meats while his colleagues take care of the rest of the duties. When University folks and the occasional visitor come in, the first employee they often see is Moongeist at the counter. He is taciturn when the line is long, but when there is no line, he is happy to chat with customers. He knows lunch lord isn't a prestigious job like royal security or smith, but he enjoys it and likes getting acquainted with all the people who go to the Canteen. Moongeist comes from a long line of lunch ladies; the living ones work in other locations in the region. He was the first male in the family to take up the position.
