Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Thai Pongal is a calm dragon who isn't easily moved, physically or emotionally. Other dragons have never met a more stoic mistletoe. She is seen lying around a lot, which may be construed as laziness or regality, depending on who's looking, but she is not by any means out of shape. To the surprise of many, she is quick on her feet and has an almost amusing expression of utmost concentration when she is exercising. Some of Thai Pongal's kin have noticed her making funny motions with her limbs in the privacy of her cave, though they are too embarrassed to ask what that's about.
