Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

While he is certainly not a wyrm, Hellwyrm is one of the more intriguing dragons that have been recorded over the years. The reason for this is that he is one of the few disabled dragons that reached adulthood. Born into the world with a pair of mangled legs, it seemed Hellwyrm was doomed from the start. As if not being able to walk or stand was bad enough, it also made flight a rather deadly task for him, as he was too low to the ground and lacked the parts necessary for landing. This left him at a major disadvantage. However, Hellwyrm had no interest in giving up and keeling over. Instead, he used what he still had to his advantage. Rather than flying, he scales walls with his claws. As opposed to hunting with tooth and claw, he uses his fire to his advantage. And finally, instead of walking, he slithers to his destination, hence his name. All of this makes Hellwyrm a living embodiment of what it means to survive and persevere, even against the odds.
