Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

CrimsonFire is a wild spirit. The clan attributes this mainly to his mother who, although was the first red dragon to be raised by the clan, was found to be extremely wild and left the Clan leaving CrimsonFire's egg in the care of other dragons. He quickly took to tagging along with BlazingFire, the lead Red dragon in the Clan, and was always left in awe when ever BlazingFire did one of his dangerous fire shows. Any attempts to imitate this older red dragon landed CrimsonFire some scolding from the other dragons. When it came clear that he would never match BlazingFire's skill, he decided to make his own place among the clan. He found his skill in restraint for he was one of the first red dragons in the Clan to discover that gently warming an egg would get it to hatch faster. As an adult dragon, CrimsonFire still loves to play with hatchlings and run wild all over the clan's territory but he never forgets his usefulness when it comes to warming eggs.
