Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The fiery ruler of the Fireheart clan, and only child of Firelady Fireflower and Firelord Firedrake. Raised within the clan since leaving the egg, Firebreath is a young but wise leader, ensuring that the clan's code of ethics is followed by all members. She succeeded her parents as ruler at the age of only 10 years. She keeps a council (which includes her parents)of older dragons and asks them for advice at times of indecision.

    Firebreath is a smart, quick-thinking dragon. She has a fiery temper, but is able to control her emotions and rarely lets anything get the best of her. She has no wish to take a mate, causing some unrest amid the other members of the clan, who believe the leader of their clan should have a mate to stand by them. She is fairly larger than the other dragons in the clan, and also stronger. She was able to breathe an engulfing inferno of fire since the day she hatched, the reason for which her parents named her "Firebreath." She puts her people's welfare first.
