Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Temptation is a budding cartographer who's made it his goal to map out the entirety of the Echo Hopland and places that surround it, a tall order since his mentor died in battle so no one's left to teach him, and the Hopland's borders shift every couple of months or so due to the numerous clashes for territory. He doesn't mind the clashes on principle. Watching bloodshed is fun and all, but he wishes it would occur somewhere else so he could make a map that stays correct. If mapmaking is still not a feasible prospect a few years from now, his second pick is tour guide, where he flies around telling visitors about landmarks in the Hopland, what skirmish is happening today, and stuff like that.
