Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Grunner is as old as the valley he lives in.  He has himself quite entombed in his cave, he hasn't been seen leaving it since anyone can remember.  In fact the cave seems too small for him, as if he can't get out even if he wanted to.  His mate, Gruna, brings him food and keeps him company when she isn't busy watching over the valley.
