Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Gold dragons tend to migrate towards the more important jobs in the clans, their rarity causing them to receive more attention in the nursery, leading to a better education and therefore better prospects. Sangel is one of those who has turned down the ticket to a better life, preferring to work in the environmental division, which monitors the areas which the clans need to avoid hunting and gathering in, in order to prevent any damage to be done to the ecosystem and to allow them time to regrow. While Sangel could not say that she loves her job; as many see it as a waste of space, and some even go as far as to ignore their instructions, she does love the sense of satisfaction it gives her after a long day, something she is sure her fellow golden dragons do not share. While Sangel sometimes longs for educated company among the higher classes, she just reminds herself that what she is doing is actually making a difference to the world she lives in.
