Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has bright blue eyes, and is as clumsy as any other hatchling, but it never seems to get injured.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Chloe Grace is the youngest daughter of Amyrlin  Car'a'carn, her mother is the leader of her village and her father used to be the leader of his until Chloe's sister Lews took his place.  There are many who expect Chloe eventually to follow her parents and acquire a seat of power some day but that is not what is in young Chloe's heart.  Secretly Chloe wants to become a great chef and have her own establishment where she can create dishes that taste so good you would swear they themselves were made with magic. Chloe's father sees this as a hatchling phase and believes she will grow out of it, her mother however is not as pleased with Chloe's 'hobby' yet appeases her until she is old enough to learn that traditionally that is a male dragon's job to do such a menial task. When not trying some new recipe Chloe can be seen playing in the fields often gathering different herbs and flowers to see how they would taste in one of her creations.
