It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Shrieking could be heard in the small cavern, crunching echoed throughout the air. Warm stones began to sway back and forth, at times hitting each other creating an odd thumping beat. A large lilac colored lizard shuffled to and fro breathing the occasional lavender spark on the fragile hatching eggs. Nearby a ebony dragon called Lady Elinor sat muttering ancient words to the unborn hatchlings that sat under her wings. Lady Chalcedony's apprentice Lady Thorn could be heard struggling to deal with the newest batch of hatchlings. The caves guard Lady Sheila's large shield sat in front of her, small specks of light bouncing off it. Lady Chalcedony stretched out her paws, set her head on them, and closed her eyes. Being the master of the hatchery was exhausting on her young bones.
