Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tia always hangs about the clan's small dinosaur population. She loves to hear stories about their long travels and what they have learned about dragons so far. But Tia is of course far more intelligent than any of the Dinos—even Nummer Eins—and so sees their short-comings clearly. The way they often disregard blatantly obvious facts, because they don't fit into their Dino-worldview and the way some of them (especially little Kirk) treat females are quite honestly pretty alarming to her. She just hopes that maybe the next generation of Dinos will be a bit more open-minded and—well—competent.
