Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
It was no good; they would have go home for the day. The fishermen at the lakeside looked at each other and shook their heads. No matter what they tried they just could not break through the ice. Sighing and mumbling, they began to pack away their gear, promising to resume their efforts the following day.
Suddenly one of them gave out a cry of surprise and pointed across the frozen water. The fishermen looked round to see what had alarmed their comrade and were amazed at what they saw, one even dropped his bait box on his toes.
A white and blue dragon, the size of a small house, was calmly skating across the ice. Now and again it would turn or leap through the air, evidently enjoying itself. After one particularly remarkable spin, several of the men clapped.
They now knew the reason they could not break through the ice, the dragon's magics kept it frozen. After it left, the fishermen began to trek home, wondering how to explain to their wives their reason for returning empty handed.
