Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The farmer sat at the edge of his field, his chin in his hands. He should have known better than to try and grow melons here, but they would have fetched such a good price at market. Unfortunately the damp air and constant rain did little for the sun soaking fruit. Sighing, he grabbed his walking stick and stood up, ready to begin the walk back to the farmhouse.

He hadn't gone far when he noticed it had become quite hot all of a sudden. Sweat was rolling down his face and the air had gone dry. Looking round, he spotted a summer dragon dozing by the stream. An idea formed in his head and a smile on his lips. He stepped bravely forward, ready to put his proposition to the dragon.

A few months later the farmer stood at his market stall, surrounded by giant melons and eager customers. He had promised the dragon a large share of the profits in return for her magical aid, but as he quickly filled his pockets with gold, he thought it was well worth it.
