The Sakuhana Wyverns are known for their alluring beauty and the sweet, pleasant aroma that follows them everywhere. Though they may be courted by numerous potential mates, a Sakuhana typically will only choose one and remain with them for the rest of their lives. They are very playful dragons that are always active and rarely sit still for long. Because of this, they are typically only seen during Spring, settle down for just long enough to find their mate. The presence of a Sakuhana always brings an influx of warmth and new growth; the dragons make use of their innate magic to help bring about an early Spring.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Teenaged Blondish looked at herself one day and decided she wanted a blond mane, not pink. Turning dark hair or feathers light is normally no difficult task: purchase a bottle of mana-infused stuff or a bottle of chemical stuff to scrub into one's locks. However, neither worked on Blondish: hours after application, her mane was back to pink. She heals up from injuries very quickly, so she figured even her hair wanted to fix itself after being bleached. Blondish has even tried some potentially dangerous spells and concoctions to transform her hair, none successful. When her peers found out, they teased her for her "misfortune": "Oh, you poor girl, cursed with powerful magic. Can't color your hair or get tattoos or keep any scars." She acquired the nickname Blondish at that time, too. Blondish moved to new territory some time ago, and now, she's lost count how long it's been since she last tried bleaching her pink hair. She still goes by "Blondish", to the confusion of her neighbors.
