Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As the general of a group of Purple Dorsal Dragons, this male keeps the name of General. General is always looking for something to do, whether with his hands or with his words. Younger members of the group view him as a joke, but the older Dorsal Dragons know better. The male seems to ignore or laugh at the teasing that is directed at him, but General has ways of getting revenge.

General is good at setting traps and pranks. He can easily hide strings and holes, sometimes even going as far as to mask his scent. When a younger member disrespects him, General openly claps them on the back and laughs with them. Once he leaves, however, General is off to create a trap that will humiliate them in front of everyone. The male is a friendly enough dragon when one is not disrespecting him. He is smart, always helping Leader, the leader of the group, plan out traps.

General may be older than most of the other members, but he is important to the group and a loyal, though creative, friend.
